Do you have questions about AUSD's enrollment practices? District staff have created a new FAQ detailing AUSD's policies in layperson-friendly language. Current AUSD Students/Families

Renewing an Affidavit
If you are a current AUSD Student/Family and are needing to renew an Affidavit please make an appointment with Student Services by calling (510) 337-7072 to schedule an appointment.
 
Changing an Address
If you are a current AUSD Student and need to change your address you may come to Student Services with the appropriate paperwork  Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  No appointment is needed.   To change your address please bring the following documents:
  • Your Photo I.D.
  • The New Lease/Rental Agreement or Property Tax/Mortgage Statement
  • 1 (one) Current (within the last 30-days) Utility Bill (Alameda Municipal Power, PG& E or Water/Garbage) 
 
Requesting an Intra-District Transfer (A transfer from one AUSD school to another AUSD school)
If you would like to request an Intra-District transfer please click on the link under quick tools at the top of this page. Fill out and submit the form. 
 
Requesting an Inter-District Transfer (A transfer from another city into AUSD or a transfer out of AUSD into another city)
We are currently NOT accepting Inter-District transfers for the 2016-2017 school year.  
 
If you would like to request a transfer to leave the AUSD and attend school in a different school district you may come to Student Services Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to turn in your application. No appointment is needed.  
 
Transcript Request
If you would like to request a copy of your transcript please contact the AUSD high school you attended to place your request.  They will process the transcript request for you.
 
Work Permit
If you would like to request a work permit please contact your high school’s College and Career Coordinator who will prepare the work permit for you.

Affordable health care is available to address health issues that affect academic achievement.  We understand that the health and well-being of students is key to academic, social, emotional and physical success. 

  • Children, foster youth, pregnant women, adults, US citizens, and immigrants may be eligible for no or low cost Medi-Cal.
  • Medi-Cal covers immunizations, checkups, specialists, vision and dental services, and more for children and youth at no or low-cost. 
  • Medi-Cal enrollment is available year-round.
  • Covered California is where legal residents of California can compare quality health plans and choose the one that works best for them.

Kindergarten Hours

Beginning in 2016-17, AUSD's kindergarten program will be full day. This means that the hours for kindergarten will match the hours of grades 1-5 at each school site (generally 8:20-2:50). The Transitional Kindergarten program will continue to be half day. For more information, please see this press release from February, 2016.
