Important Message

Our Enrollment, Back To Shool Registration and Appointment systems have changed in order to provide parents with a more user friendly, secure and environmentally friendly system.  Please take a moment to read our new webpage as it contains important information about these changes and directions on how to utilize the Student Services Department.  Thank you to our community who has been so patient and supportive as we made these changes.

To Enroll for the 2015-2016 School Year

 New Student Enrollment Information for the 2015-2016 School Year

Please click on the following link New Student Enrollment to enroll a new student into the Alameda Unified School District by creating an InfoSnap account and completing the screens that follow. At the conclusion of completing the online enrollment forms you will be prompted to schedule an Enrollment Appointment. To prepare for your enrollment appointment please review the Enrollment Steps.

Current AUSD Students/Families

Renewing an Affidavit
If you are a current AUSD Student/Family and are needing to renew an Affidavit please make an appointment with Student Services by calling (510) 337-7072 to schedule an appointment.
Changing an Address
If you are a current AUSD Student and need to change your address you may come to Student Services with the appropriate paperwork Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  No appointment is needed.  
Requesting an Intra-District Transfer (A transfer from one AUSD school to another AUSD school)
If you would like to request a transfer to a different AUSD School you may come to Student Services Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  No appointment is needed.  
Requesting an Inter-District Transfer (A transfer from another city into AUSD or a transfer out of AUSD into another city)
If you would like to request a transfer from a city outside of Alameda into the AUSD you may come to Student Services Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to turn in your application. No appointment is needed.  
If you would like to request a transfer to leave the AUSD and attend school in a different school district you may come to Student Services Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to turn in your application. No appointment is needed.  
Transcript Request
If you would like to request a copy of your transcript please contact the AUSD high school you attended to place your request.  They will process the transcript request for you.
Work Permit
If you would like to request a work permit please contact your high school’s College and Career Coordinator who will prepare the work permit for you.

Enrolling in AUSD School after Attending a Charter School

Please follow the steps outlined in this chart to learn how to re-enroll your child in an AUSD school after he or she has attended a charter school.

Information about Affordable Health Coverage

Affordable health care is available to address health issues that affect academic achievement.  We understand that the health and well-being of students is key to academic, social, emotional and physical success. 

  • Children, foster youth, pregnant women, adults, US citizens, and immigrants may be eligible for no or low cost Medi-Cal.
  • Medi-Cal covers immunizations, checkups, specialists, vision and dental services, and more for children and youth at no or low-cost. 
  • Medi-Cal enrollment is available year-round.
  • Covered California is where legal residents of California can compare quality health plans and choose the one that works best for them.
