A message from Danielle Houck, General Counsel

 
The Office of the General Counsel represents and protects the legal interests of Alameda Unified School District. Among its primary responsibilities, the Office of the General Counsel (1) advises and represents the Board of Education and AUSD staff in all legal matters, (2) oversees and manages all AUSD litigation, (4) oversees all AUSD legal transactions, including review and approval of all contracts, leases and memoranda of understanding, (5) reviews and advises staff in responding to requests for public information; and (6) serves as or advises the District’s Chief Negotiator in labor negotiations with all bargaining units.
