Ms. Young was nominated by a fellow teacher at Washington School.  “Liza is an enthusiastic and creative teacher that makes a lasting impact on students’ lives.” Judy Goodwin, principal at Washington Elementary School, states, “When I visit Liza’s room and ask a student what they are working on they know the task, why they are learning it and how it links to the standards. Liza has created this instructional environment through a great deal of work and planning. However, when you watch her teach, it is with an ease and clarity well beyond her professional years.”
