Communications
Introduction
AUSD is committed to providing accurate, timely, and transparent communications via a variety of platforms for the community, including:
E-newsletter
AUSD sends a newsletter to our employees, families, and media partners weekly. Newsletters generally include press releases on district news, articles about AUSD people and programs, reminders about deadlines, a listing of events, and links to articles in local media outlets. If you don't already it, you can subscribe to our newsletter. Links to our newsletters, superintendent letters, and articles are available on our press materials page.
Social media
You can follow AUSD on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Please follow us to get updates on AUSD news, snapshots of daily teaching and learning activities at our school sites, and links to education-oriented articles!
"Notes from AUSD"
We publish a bi-weekly column in the Alameda Journal that provides background information on current issues, news about upcoming events, and updates on long-term projects.
Board of Education Meetings
AUSD's Board of Education meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 6:30pm. Due to the pandemic, they are currently being held via Zoom. Please check the Board of Education page of the AUSD website for meeting information and agendas.
You also can watch the meetings live on Comcast Channel 15, AT&T Channel 99, the City's website, and AUSD's Facebook page. Or follow our live tweets of the meetings @AUSDNews.
