Welcome to AUSD!young boy painting

We look forward to meeting you and your child,  guiding you through the enrollment process, and helping you get ready for your first day.

However, we know that enrolling your child in a district for the first time  can be confusing. To make it easier, we've broken enrollment down into easy steps for you to follow:

1. Find the right school.

2. Enroll using our online "InfoSnap" tool.

3. Meet with an AUSD enrollment specialist.

Need other information? Check our Quick Links for information about affidavits, transferring into or within AUSD, international students, health services, and more.

1. Find the Right School

Most AUSD schools are "neighborhood schools." That means they give priority enrollment to students that live in the surrounding "zone." You can identify your neighborhood school with our "Find Your School" tool, below.

Note: Some AUSD schools are "open enrollment" schools, meaning that students from any neighborhood can apply to them via our "open enrollment" process. Click here to learn more about the process and find the appropriate application forms.

2. Enroll Online (New Students)

If you are applying to a neighborhood school, you need to create an InfoSnap account and go through its online process. It's easy! Follow the links below to get to InfoSnap.

You can see the full 2018-19 calendar here.

Note: Online enrollment is not yet open for the 2019-20 school year. Information on the 2019-20 enrollment is below.

3. Make an Enrollment Appointment

Once you submit your InfoSnap enrollment form, you will be asked to make an appointment with Student Services. Appointments are mandatory, as we need to review your documents in person. It's also your chance to ask questions and get to know our staff.

You will need to bring a number of documents with you to this appointment. Those documents are listed in the links below.

Please follow the steps for the "New Student Enrollment" when coming from a Charter School
