Note: Starting June 17, AUSD will provide voluntary COVID-19 testing on Thursdays and Fridays, 9-5 pm, at Alameda High School. This schedule will stay in effect through July 31.

Please note that the testing site is in the cafeteria. The entrance to the site is on the 2200 block of Central Avenue, and  free parking is available on that block. Please do not park in any lots on the AHS campus, as those are reserved for staff.

On March 30, Alameda County went into the Orange Tier of COVID-19 risk and restriction. Under state public health guidance. testing becomes voluntary for students in that tier. As such, while AUSD will continue to provide free testing - and strongly encourages that testing - it is no longer mandatory in order to participate in in-person instruction. You can find more information in this March 31 community bulletin

 

Starting April 7, student testing will be available Wednesdays through Sundays, 9 am to 5 pm, at Alameda High School and Ruby Bridges Elementary School.

About national labs


National Labs, who is performing our student and staff testing,  is a Bay-area based CLIA & COLA certified reference laboratory specializing in COVID-19 and Toxicology testing. They have joined California's lab taskforce to provide necessary testing to local counties and companies. National Labs' goal is to help provide the safest school environment possible through the addition of a COVID-19 testing partnership. Trained medical staff will be available in multiple exclusive onsite collection centers throughout our district for convenience and fast results.
